New interpretive artwork on the Japanese Exclusion Memorial Departure Deck

We were humbled to be able to assist with this installation of the new interpretive artwork on the Japanese Exclusion Memorial Departure Deck that Clark constructed early last year. The new artwork, fabricated by our partner Turner Exhibits consists of a number of rusted steel sculptural pieces by Vaughan, Washington artists Anna Brones and Luc Revel, and an imposing gate by long-time memorial advocate John Buday.  The artwork was formally presented to the community and dedicated at a brief public ceremony at the Memorial on Tuesday. Survivors of the exclusion experience and their families were in attendance.
