As a Boot Sponsor for the 2022 Habitat Build Class, Clark was honored to attend the ribbon-cutting event on Friday. A workforce training program led by Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, this program provides a 9-week training, tools and safety gear to local residents who want to learn basic residential building skills, while building homes for local families in need. The goal of the program is to empower them to begin a fulfilling career in construction and make a livable wage.

Clark Construction is thrilled to have been awarde

Clark Construction is thrilled to have been awarded the contract from the City of Bainbridge Island to retrofit the former Harrison Medical Center into the new home of both the Bainbridge Island Police Station and Municipal Court. For more than 20 years, Police and Municipal Court staff have worked in buildings with numerous deficiencies that do not support modern law enforcement or appropriate accommodations for judicial services. Current facilities are a seismic risk, lack security, and are outdated for conducting effective and essential civic services. The city has worked hard to find a viable solution to this problem and our team is excited to support their plan. The property selected includes a 3.13-acre parcel and an existing two-story building with approximately 18,000 square feet of space. This building was designed by Coates Design several years ago and they will be working with us as the Architect of record on this extensive TI project. The official groundbreaking ceremony will be held on June 3rd. The project is expected to be complete by early 2024.

The former headquarters of Clark Construction on E

The former headquarters of Clark Construction on Ericksen Avenue, in downtown Bainbridge Island, is undergoing an impressive remodel with a new 3rd mezzanine level. Once complete, this Tenant Improvement will have transformed all four of the 3500 sf existing
office buildings at the Ericksen Avenue Office Park into a new private high school campus. Hyla School is expanding its program to this second site, intentionally located in the downtown core and just a block from the ferry terminal, to facilitate structured
access to the surrounding community. Through ongoing engagement with the community, students at Hyla practice citizenship through apprenticeship and upon graduation are ready to support and influence their future communities. The anticipated completion of
the first building will be mid-Summer 2022 and work will begin on the second office building with similar build-out and matching exterior siding in the fall.

Architectural renderings are for two of the four buildings.

While the second floor of the north building was being poured at Rivulet, on this Earth Day 2022, Team Clark was also volunteering alongside C.K.High School’s environmental science class hauling away scotch broom, holly and ivy! The Clear Creek trail behind the construction site is now cleared and new cedar and baby Doug fir trees have been planted. Thanks to Sound West Group for planning this and Mary Earl, Clear Creek Trail Earth Day Ambassador.

Check out the most recent drone footage from our Rivulet site. Final concrete work is being completed and framing has begun! There is always lots of action at this site. In honor of Earth Day today, our team will be helping volunteers weed and plant trees along the Clear Creek Trail behind the site while also juggling another concrete pour on the site! The spring weather is certainly welcomed to all those working outside every day.

It's been a wonderfully busy winter here at Clark Construction with our team working on a range of projects both big and small. Home remodels and historic restorations, to new construction multi-family apartment buildings, our crews have been hard at work building something amazing... 2022 is truly off to a good start, with the company growing by 8 new employees and we are happily settled into our new office building. We will also be opening our new satellite office on the Peninsula - more to come on that soon. In our ongoing philanthropic work, we have donated substantial company resources to organizations at home and abroad to help good people to do their good work. While we wait for Mother Nature to decide if it’s winter or spring, we hope that you too are prospering and getting back to some kind of normal. Our Dapple Court project is a 900 sf ADU being bui

Our Dapple Court project is a 900 sf ADU being built as an aging-in-place unit at the back of our clients property. Designed by local Architect, J. Mack Pearl, the ADU is being built to match the style of the owner's current home. The construction process is being managed by our Pleasant Beach Village construction team because of its close proximity to the Corner Homes project. All carpentry will be self-performed by our Clark framing crew. Framing is being wrapped up this week and the project is moving quickly into MEP rough-in which should be complete in early May. The new septic system is installed, and the extensive site work is now mostly complete. The expected completion will by Fall 2022.
