If you’re on Bainbridge Island for the day, we hope you enjoy the fun events we’re sponsoring during the festivities.
Begin your celebration at the annual Bainbridge Youth Services Fun Run. Proceeds from this family-friendly run support BYS youth counseling, tutoring and summer internship programs.
After your run, dash over to the Bainbridge High School baseball field to watch the 14th annual Old Timers Baseball Game. Clark’s own Mackenzie Bond, a BHS alum, will be taking the field for the hometown nine. This is a free event, with light concessions available for purchase and a “split the pot” raffle.
Then come down to the BHS Sailing program’s booth at Waterfront Park and build your own toy wooden boat. Clark has donated 200 pounds of wood scraps from our Loom House “Living Building’ job site for this event. Make your toy boat while diverting this wood from the waste stream.
