Clark was humbled to be awarded 2022 Builder of the Year by the Kitsap Building Association at their Installations & Awards Banquet on Friday, January 7. Clark CEO Casey French was also recognized as a nominee for the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) 2022 Builder of the Year. Affiliated with NAHB and BIAW, KBA is an association of builders, subcontractors and related service providers representing the home building industry in Kitsap County. They provide important information, education, and services and offer a voice on legislative issues affecting the industry and the availability of safe and affordable housing for all. Clark’s reHOME project has been featured in the

Clark’s reHOME project has been featured in the Bainbridge Island Review. This collaborative project with Clark Construction, Coates Design, Housing Resources Bainbridge and Friends of the Farms features three tiny homes built with repurposed materials and volunteer labor to provide affordable housing for local farm workers.

The article gives an excellent synopsis of how the community came together in the spirit of “reduce, reuse, recycle” to source materials for the project, even drawing in donations of time and material from people off island.

"Kellen Bond, Clark Construction vice president of operations, said that 26,000 pounds of building materials valued at about $125,000 were diverted from the landfill. Everything from fixtures to windows was sourced from trade partners, subcontractors and the community."

This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our partnership with all those involved and share this incredible project with the greater community. This collaborative communal project utilized repurposed and recycled materials, showcased new and innovative green building design, and reduced construction waste. Clark would like to join our partners (Coates Design, Housing Resources Bainbridge and Friends of the Farms) in thanking all who have donated time and material to help make this award-wining project a resounding success. Our first building at the PBV Corner Homes project

Our first building at the PBV Corner Homes project is now complete. The other buildings are in varying phases of finish work (siding, paint, pavers, tile…) while site work continues with the sidewalks, patios, rockery walls and landscaping being completed. The significant landscaping has undergone a great deal of planning and development to ensure that it tie seamlessly with the rest of the Pleasant Beach Village.

Roofing and siding has been happening at Rivulet just in time for winter. The roof detail provides architectural enhancement along with creating vaulted ceilings in top floor units. There are stunning views from the large picture windows in each home. Rivulet is on target for opening May 2023.

The reHOME project has won an AIA 2022 Honor Award of Merit in research and innovation!

reHOME addresses two pressing social and environmental issues: the lack of affordable housing in cities throughout the United States, and the vast amount of waste produced during construction. ReHome was celebrated for envisioning planned neighborhoods of recycled homes where homeowners have a sense of community and investment in their future.
