Pleasant Beach

This extensive remodel on the south end of Bainbridge Island involved effectively building a new home on an existing foundation. While a quick, complete demo of the home would have been easier, Clark instead was able to salvage the cabinetry and fixtures of the house for Habitat for Humanity. CCLLC further preserved the site by steering clear of treasured fruit trees on the property, despite the careful maneuvering required on this tight waterfront lot. Every detail of the project was thoughtfully designed to mitigate runoff into the adjacent Puget Sound. The 3,500 sf residence includes many unique details: rusted clad fireplace surrounds, a full porcelain slab wall, and folding doors that open into the living space. Creating the sunken dining room was a challenging task, as the original floor was two feet higher than the final design. The house successfully blends modern details and traditional design for a beautiful final result.
