North Shore

This waterfront family vacation compound in Belfair Washington is custom-designed by BC&J to accommodate three generations. Built on a large property that has been in the family for many years the escapist feel of the home aligns perfectly with its use and the seclusion and natural beauty of its surroundings.

The 3,000 sf main house is divided into two sections to create private living space for the primary owners, and shared living space for visiting family – a 1000sf space accessed via a breezeway. State of the art technologies like double layered insulation are being employed, along with sustainable and recycled materials: reclaimed timbers and wood paneling; bringing a natural easygoing beach cottage feel to the home that is uniquely American and speaks volumes about how we holiday.

Additional structures on the property include a 500 sf additional dwelling unit, a gatehouse bunkhouse for the children, and a beach house aptly named The Oyster Temple for the oysters collectable right outside the door. A new steel boathouse located on the compound’s second lot was built by the Clark team and completes this Belfair vision of relaxed multi-family vacationing.
