This public works prevailing wage project for Central Kitsap County consisted of an overhaul of site utilities and expansion of the Kitsap County Water Treatment support buildings in Poulsbo, WA.
A great deal of pragmatism and functionality went into this project and its three new modular buildings. The county needed separate buildings that would allow the Water Treatment facility’s employees their own dedicated spaces.
Whitley Evergreen in Marysville, WA built the modules in their facility and trucked them to the site where the Team Clark assembled. An intense submittal process, complex shop drawings and a number of progress inspections were conducted according to strict L&I and county project manager oversight.
The end result is a three-building footprint of modular structures: one housing the Water Treatment Construction team center office, the second for use as an electrician’s headquarters, and the last for use as a training center and library. A significant amount of concrete flatwork was done to appropriately tie these 3 buildings together.
Electrical upgrades to the existing building on site and seeding for additional site telecoms were additional dimensions of this 2021 Clark project.
