The artwork was formally presented to the community and dedicated at a brief public ceremony at the Memorial on Tuesday. Survivors of the exclusion experience and their families were in attendance.

The Builder Grant Program provides internship opportunities in the home construction industry, focusing on carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting & coating, and HVAC. Selectees are given a stipend for tools and teamed up with a trade mentor, working fulltime over a six-week period in an effort to educate and experience work in their designated field. At the completion of their training they are usually given full time employment. To date Clark has brought on two new employees through this excellent program. Big thanks to KBA for supporting the education of skilled laborers in our industry!

Before deciding on a career in construction, Willie worked as a restaurant cook, landscaper and a deck hand on a commercial gillnetter fishing boat.

Once complete, this Tenant Improvement will have transformed all four of the 3500 sf existing office buildings at the Ericksen Avenue Office Park into a new private high school campus. Hyla School is expanding its program to this second site, intentionally located in the downtown core and just a block from the ferry terminal, to facilitate structured access to the surrounding community. Through ongoing engagement with the community, students at Hyla practice citizenship through apprenticeship and upon graduation are ready to support and influence their future communities. The anticipated completion of the first building will be mid-Summer 2022 and work will begin on the second office building with similar build-out and matching exterior siding in the fall.

Prior to joining us, Archie spent 10 years working with JL where he was able to hone his finish carpentry skills. Before getting into construction, while fresh out of high school, Archie worked in landscaping. Archie’s favorite part of his job as a Labor Superintendent is producing quality work and “showing all the young guys on the job site the tricks of the trade”. With many laughs and always a smile, Archie is a great mentor who keeps the morale high on the job site. His favorite project to date was Pleasant Beach Village Tier 2B (4 single-family residents) which was the first time he led the crew on such a big siding job.

One co-worker spoke highly of Willie with these words “He has grit and an enterprising approach to getting work done which makes the jobsite fun.” His favorite project to work on so far has been Pleasant Beach Village Tier 2B as it was his first project as a supervisor, and he was able to see it through from start to finish. Before deciding on a career in construction, Willie worked as a restaurant cook, landscaper and a deck hand on a commercial gillnetter fishing boat.

After researching organizations supporting Ukraine in their ongoing crisis, we learned about a fellow Bainbridge Island man, Dale Perry, who is leading an effort to transfer aid across the border into Ukraine to support the growing needs among those injured, displaced and trying to flee. His organization is The Foundation for Equity and Justice. It is a 501C3 that we have chosen to support in this effort. We have created a “team” within their organization to offer support. Clark has made an initial contribution of $10,000 and will match up to another $10,000 in employee donations made to the Foundation before May 1.

The Construction Careers Program at West Sound Technical Skills Center (WST) will introduce local high school students to the world of construction. The students experience hands on training with the tools of the trade in a real world setting. This program includes both in-class theory and job site experience. The Construction Trades program is housed in a large facility that includes an expansive workshop and classroom area. The program also has an impressive outside work area with two residential house modules where the students apply their skills. The students occasionally work on job sites in the local community for public projects such as park buildings, small school district structures, Habitat for Humanity projects and tiny shelters. Team Clark was thrilled to be able to attend the fair and to share our enthusiasm and hands on experience with the students!

Paradise was 90% destroyed in The Camp fire of 2018, which at the time was the deadliest and most destructive fire in CA’s history. Our team was pleased to be able to tour a couple market rate 900 sf Habitat for Humanity homes being build from ICF for its fire resilience - an encouraging trend.
- [Support for Daniel & SSGT Taylor Hoover](https://clarkconstruct.com/2021/11/05/support-for-daniel-ssgt-taylor-hoover/) - During the recent tragic events in Afghanistan, a fellow Marine of our Team Clark member Daniel Taylor was sadly one of the 12 service members who lost his life during the evacuation at Bagram AirField. This past weekend Daniel drove to San Diego to attend a ceremony which involved him carrying a hand-made cross up a legendary mountain on Camp San Mateo called First Sergeants Hill. In a coordinated effort to support Daniel’s mission, Team Clark donated money and PTO time, as well as their labor to help build the cross. It is our hope that this beautiful, sturdy cross will serve as a healing agent and visual tribute to this fallen Marine and will help not only Daniel, but everyone involved to honor his service and his legacy. Special thanks to our partners Monkey Wrench and Ryan Koch for their donations and heartfelt gratitude to Daniel for allowing Team Clark to partner with him in honoring his friend.

Named to reflect the natural environment in its backyard, The Rivulet Apartments, will consist of 78 units with a mix of open one-bedroom, one- and two-bedroom units. The apartment complex will include two buildings — each with two levels over parking. Amenities to include a fitness center, sun deck, small dog park, and connecting path to the Clear Creek Trail. Built on 1.7 acres at the corner of Bucklin Hill Road and Blaine Avenue just west of Clear Creek, Rivulet will fill a need in downtown Silverdale for more housing that is accessible to the trail and a short walk to the new hospital, shopping and more.

Exposed remnants of old paint colors, removed cabinetry, shadows of long-gone equipment, and abandoned stairwells create a time-traveling effect and tell the story of what was there before. This rehabilitation approach ignites curiosity about the building’s 120-year-long past and inspires creative action from its future guests.

The project involved converting a particularly scenic lot on Bainbridge Island into a singular waterfront residence. But in approaching and proceeding with this construction, there have been complex logistical considerations to bear in mind. At the end of a long, steep, narrow, tree-lined drive, its a very romantic setting, but tricky driving for the many trucks working at the site.

- [EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Meet Justin Ansley - a man whose mission is sustainable construction](https://clarkconstruct.com/2021/08/20/employee-spotlight-meet-justin-ansley/) - Justin Ansley spent his twenties and early thirties playing drums in bands. After his band years, Justin transitioned into construction and now has 14 years of experience in the industry. A native of North Carolina, Justin moved to Seattle in 2006. Looking to hone his building skills, he enrolled at the Wood Construction Center at Seattle Central College. A significant portion of Justin’s career was spent with Seattle design/build firm Batt + Lear, whose focus was on energy efficient and sustainable renovation projects. As a journeyman carpenter and superintendent, Justin worked on renovations involving retrofit ICF foundations, external insulation and rainscreen assemblies, gray water systems, and several cutting-edge heating and cooling technologies. Implementing these experimental and project-specific systems has enhanced Justin’s knowledge of a broad range of materials and techniques as well as his appreciation for innovation and problem solving. Justin is also a certified Lead Safe renovator and has been involved in numerous 4 and 5 Star Built Green projects in the city of Seattle.

This two story space was converted from a restaurant into office space for the growing firm Cone Architecture. All 30+ windows and doors were replaced, and new skylights installed for better light. Triple framework was needed to fix severe decay in the existing building. Complex electrical was installed throughout the new space which allows the new tenants to run a RadioRa smart home system for improved energy efficiency. The new space has room for 15 desk hubs.

Bainbridge Island Rowing has contracted Clark Construction to build its new home, The Stan Pocock Legacy Rowing Center here on Bainbridge Island. A 12,000-square-foot, two-story building, it will be the first facility of its kind in Kitsap County, while honoring the legacy of Stan Pocock, iconic Pacific Northwest rowing coach and boatbuilder.

This apartment building will be home to 55 SEDU (small efficiency dwelling units), ranging from 251 – 321 sf with 3 units at 399 sf. The building will be 5 floors with a daylight basement – 5 stories of living and a 2080 sf street-facing commercial unit on the ground floor. Designed by Cone Architects, the building will be built to 4 star Built Green standards and will use cutting edge solar thermal technology for its hot water.

This project is unique for Clark as it consists mostly of design and civil work. The Architect for this beautiful project is Anchor QEA and the Engineer, Johnson Squared. It was a real community effort as trade partners and suppliers from all over the county were involved in the transformation of this empty lot. The end product includes public restrooms and a PNW peeled log-built picnic structure. Detailed landscape features and tribal art structures are present throughout the park. The Orca inspired play area includes a variety of equipment with slides and a water feature. The Suquamish Shores Natural Play Area is sure to become a favorite PNW gathering place.

This innovative protective cover serves several purposes. It made it possible to continue roofing through the rainy winter months. It provides additional safety to our team as they navigate the 3 stories of this home situated 200 feet above the water. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it is an environmental protection for the waterfront, reducing construction debris from getting into Eagle Harbor.

Our team is wrapping up the installation of 15 miles of ship lap paneling on the Quartermaster Building. Yes, you heard that correctly. We have calculated that if the panels were laid down on the ground head to tail they would stretch a distance of 15 miles. Wow! We are also finishing up the impressive new canopy at the loading dock, busy patching historic beadboard and getting started with interior paint and other finishes.

Phase three, the interior buildout of the coaches’ offices, a conference room, locker rooms, bathrooms, and a large multipurpose community space with kitchen, will resume in 2021 when additional funds have been raised. Once complete this 12,000-square-foot, two-story building, will serve multiple functions for the West Sound community. Providing not only a hub for regional rowing, but also a venue for regattas with the potential to draw participants from across the Pacific Northwest.

- [Clark Completes Tenant Improvement in Ballard](https://clarkconstruct.com/2020/06/01/therapydia-tenant-improvement/) - This sleek 1500 sf tenant improvement, completed in late 2019, is located in the heart of the trendy Ballard neighborhood. The Clark team succeeded in taking a new building’s empty shell and transforming its blank slate into a fully decked out physical therapy studio, complete with high-tech rubber flooring throughout. Therapydia’s visible ductwork gives the space an open industrial feeling, and large storefront windows let in loads of natural light. While negotiating with the city council for building permits was no easy feat, the project, completed in late 2019, came out on budget, with happy clients and a beautiful new modern space to boot.

- [Historic Fort Worden Site Hums Along](https://clarkconstruct.com/2020/03/19/fort-worden-site-humming-along/) - The construction site at Historic Fort Worden continues to hum along this week. Slated for completion later this summer, the 3 historic buildings being restored are all in different stages of completion: steel erection for deck canopies is being installed, the last of the new slate roofing has gone on, and the site is anticipating the delivery of 12+ miles of shiplap at the end of this week to begin interior finishes. That should be exciting!
- [Rose Loop Residence](https://clarkconstruct.com/2020/03/11/rose-loop-residence/) - The Rose Loop Residence is a new construction, single family home, with approximately 3,000 SF of living space across three levels. The project site sits perched above beautiful Eagle Harbor on a steep hillside. Extensive sitework, including two shored piling retaining walls were required to complete the scope of work. This created both a structural wall for the home as well as a flat landscaped side yard that enjoys amazing views back towards Winslow and the Seattle Ferry Terminal. The architecture is northwest modern by Coates Design with high-end finishes throughout including: elm ceiling panels and casework, blackened steel accents, stone veneers, upscale lighting, polished concrete floors with integral color, large format multi-slide doors, among many other unique design features. The project is currently scheduled to be complete summer 2020.

The wooden 1951 rowing shell was moved into its final resting place in the new Stan Pocock Rowing Center yesterday. Our construction effort will now continue around this 60'+ champion vessel.

- [Newly Completed 4710 Flats in Seattle's University District](https://clarkconstruct.com/2020/01/08/4710flats-completed/) - The year 2019 came to a close with the completion of our 4710 Flats project in the University District, Seattle, adding 52 comfortable modern, apartment units within walking distance of UW. Each of these efficient units has its own private bathroom, cozy kitchen space complete with refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, large closet and living quarters. High ceilings and large windows fill each room with lots of natural light and clean, fresh finishes invite creativity to flourish. The building provides a rooftop garden and solar array, sporting spectacular views and offering great gathering spaces for residents. All of these intentional details create truly amazing living quarters for the lucky occupants. We would like to thank our client, SHW Architects, our hard-working team and all our subcontractors that put countless hours into this impressive project.

And those sustainability features: rooftop solar array is already producing power for net-metering savings, while the in-ground water reclamation system will be commissioned in the next few weeks. - [Bainbridge Island Police Station & Municipal Court TI](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/bainbridge-island-police-station-municipal-court-ti/) - Clark Construction is thrilled to have been awarded the contract from the City of Bainbridge Island to retrofit the former Harrison Medical Center into the new home of both the Bainbridge Island Police Station and Municipal Court. For more than 20 years, Police and Municipal Court staff have worked in buildings with numerous deficiencies that do not support modern law enforcement or appropriate accommodations for judicial services. Current facilities are a seismic risk, lack security, and are outdated for conducting effective and essential civic services. The city has worked hard to find a viable solution to this problem and our team is excited to support their plan. The property selected includes a 3.13-acre parcel and an existing two-story building with approximately 18,000 square feet of space. This building was designed by Coates Design several years ago and they will be working with us as the Architect of record on this extensive TI project.

This phase consists of 12 live/work townhomes, in four buildings of three units each. The three-story townhomes include 2,500 sf of living space on the upper two floors and over 500 sf of commercial space as well as a two-car garage on the ground floor.

We are transforming this beautiful, 1914-vintage Army storehouse into a vibrant Arts & Education Center in the heart of the Fort Worden campus. Working with Signal Architects of Seattle, we’ll bring the building up to standard for contemporary use while respecting the rich architectural heritage it represents – and we’re aiming for LEED Silver certification. Classrooms and studios will range from utilitarian and coarse, for material-intensive programming, through gallery and exhibit education and presentation. A daylit interior, new canopy and bleacher-type loading dock will embrace the historic character of the building while preparing it for a wide range of arts programming for the community and visitors. The local Port Townsend radio station KPTZ also plans to relocate their operation to the ground level of the building.
- [Suquamish Shores Natural Play Area](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/suquamish-shores-play-area/) - Clark Construction is known for its excellence in single and multi-family commercial construction, custom home building and detailed remodels, but what you might not realize is that Clark Construction is in the playground business as well! Right in the heart of the Suquamish community, Clark helped to create the Suquamish Shores Natural Play Area, transforming a small patch of forested land into a functioning play area and community meeting center. This project is unique for Clark as it consists mostly of design and civil work. This project is unique for Clark as it consists mostly of design and civil work. The Architect for this beautiful project is Johnson Squared and the Engineer, Anchor QEA. It was a real community effort as trade partners and suppliers from all over the county were involved in the transformation of this empty lot. The end product includes public restrooms and a PNW peeled log-built picnic structure. Detailed landscape features and tribal art structures are present throughout the park. The Orca inspired play area includes a variety of equipment with slides and a water feature. The Suquamish Shores Natural Play Area is sure to become a favorite PNW gathering place.

- [Sunrise Drive](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/sunrise-drive/) - Sunrise Drive is a new construction Custom Residential project designed by Wenzlau Architects and located on Bainbridge Island. It consists of two-stories plus an attached Garage. The project has L-shaped layout with the Garage, Mudroom and Guest Area in the upper wing and Kitchen, Great Room, Media Room and Master Bedroom in the lower wing. There is a large Outdoor patio space off of the Kitchen. The property faces towards the East with an unobstructed view of the water.
- [Rivulet Apartments](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/rivulet/) - Clark Construction has teamed up with Bremerton developer Sound West Group to build a $25.5 million apartment complex next to Clear Creek in Silverdale. Named to reflect the natural environment in its backyard, The Rivulet Apartments, will consist of 78 units with a mix of open one-bedroom, one- and two-bedroom units. The apartment complex designed by Balance Architects will include two buildings — each with two levels over parking. Amenities to include a fitness center, sun deck, small dog park, and connecting path to the Clear Creek Trail. Built on 1.7 acres at the corner of Bucklin Hill Road and Blaine Avenue just west of Clear Creek, Rivulet will fill a need in downtown Silverdale for more housing that is accessible to the trail and a short walk to the new hospital, shopping and more.
- [Henderson](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/henderson/) - Clark has once again teamed up with frequent collaborator BC&J Architects for another custom residential build. The project involved converting a particularly scenic lot on Bainbridge Island into a singular waterfront residence. In approaching and proceeding with this construction, there have been complex logistical considerations to bear in mind. Located at the end of a long, steep, narrow, tree-lined drive, it's a very romantic setting, but tricky driving for the many trucks working at the site.
- [Stan Pocock Legacy Rowing Center](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/rowing-center/) - The Stan Pocock Legacy Rowing Center is a 12,000-square-foot, two-story building designed by Cutler Anderson on Bainbridge Island. The ground floor boasts a boat storage, maintenance and repair shop, rower’s bathroom/emergency shower, and the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment. On the top floor you will find a beautiful, wood-frame structure housing coaches’ offices, a conference room, locker rooms, bathrooms, and a large (50’x50”) workout/multipurpose community gathering space with kitchen, overlooking historic Eagle Harbor. This space will be available to the public for private events and for program expansion by the adjacent Senior Center.

- [7th Haven](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/7th-haven/) - In collaboration with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP), Clark Construction is the general contractor for this 43 unit affordable housing complex which is being built at 7th and Hendricks Street in the Castle Hill neighborhood of Port Townsend. The building is intended to house 130 people, including 35-40 children, from “low” and “very low” income brackets. The preliminary apartment mix is 6 studio apartments, 18 one-bedrooms, 15 two-bedrooms and 4 three-bedroom units intended for families. There are to be units designed for people with developmental disabilities, people with diagnosed chronic mental illness, people recovering from substance abuse, families escaping domestic violence, and for families who have been homeless. The project includes an on-site Early Learning Facility. All units would be for households making less than below 50 percent of the area’s median income ($32,200 annually for a family of four in Jefferson County).
- [Hyla High School Ericksen Campus](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/hyla-ericksen-campus-tenant-improvement/) - The Dapple Court project is a 900 sf ADU being built as an aging-in-place unit at the back of our clients property. Designed by local Architect, J. Mack Pearl, the ADU is being built to match the style of the owners’ current home. The construction process is being managed by our Pleasant Beach Village construction team because of its close proximity to our Corner Homes project. All carpentry will be self-performed by our in-house Clark framing crew. The expected completion will by Fall 2022.
- [Noco Apartments](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/noco-apartments/) - This 5-star Built Green Certified project in Columbia City features 54 units in a four-story, wood-framed, 18,000-square-foot building. 50 small efficiency apartments and four live/work units range from 280 to 310 square feet. There are also two street-level 1,000-square-foot commercial spaces. Noco is one of the first apartment buildings in Seattle to use next-generation solar technology for hot water. Building on the restrictively tight site required creativity and adaptability from the Clark team. Completed Summer 2018.

The new 4710 Flats bring 52 snug, comfortable apartment units to the U-District near campus, just a short walk to the University Village shopping area and other services. Apartment units range from 250-300 sf., over four floors with a rooftop deck. This is a great new addition to the neighborhood’s student housing stock.

The townhome layouts create a true neighborhood with community gardens and active shared amenities. With a variety of sizes and configurations, these well-designed townhomes provide much needed housing just steps away from the village of Winslow.

- [Grand Avenue](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/grand-avenue/) - Clark revived this stalled project that was suffering from project overruns. CCLLC was able to work with the architect and owner to develop $250K of accepted value-engineering options to allow for the completion of this project. Changing the HVAC system from radiant heat throughout to radiant heat on the first level and forced air upstairs saved thousands of dollars.

- [The Beach House](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/the-beach-house/) - 5,400 linear feet of pin piles stabilize the foundation of this new home, built three feet above the surrounding grade for FEMA flood requirements. The wrap around concrete paver patio, also built on pin piles and grade beams, gives the home an at-grade feel. A built-in hot tub at the corner of the patio provides a place to relax and enjoy views of the Puget Sound. Painted cabinets and extensive trim accentuates the multilayer stained ash floors and make the inside feel like a beach resort pulled right out of the Hamptons.
- [Foxhall Lane](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/foxhall-lane/) - The abundance of windows and open flow of this custom home usher in stunning views of Hood Canal. Hardwood floors and high ceilings further add to this relaxing space. A large front deck makes this home ideal for entertaining family and friends, complete with an exterior fireplace to make the outdoor covered patio comfortable any time of the year. We worked with this out of state client and architect team for over a year on value engineering and redesign to get this project to half of the original design budget.

This home was one of three built by a group of friends on the space, meaning shared and coordinated water, sewer, city storm water connections, and landscaping were required.
- [Hansen Road Farmhouse](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/hansen-road-farmhouse/) - This family aimed to build their compound without having to sell any of the four acres to finance the job. The result was a strict budget and resourceful building practices. The project manager and superintendent partnered with the client to help the family complete some of the work themselves. With our consultation, the client installed her own flooring, decking, and some interior trim.

This home was built with quality features found in all our custom residential work. The dramatic exterior features Hardie Panel siding, tight knot cedar trim, and sand finish concrete. The tight knot cedar is also used for the channel siding encasing the outdoor seating area. Inside, hardwood floors, durable tuftex carpet, and extensive tilework can be found throughout.

Located in the LEED-CS Gold buildings within Island Gateway complex on Bainbridge Island, the office now boasts an updated look to its modern industrial interiors. Solius employees can enjoy the sleek minimalist lines of the newly renovated 3rd floor offices, in addition to their newly relocated manufacturing space and showroom on the 1st floor.

Both demolition and material sourcing required the use of barges and large cranes.

- [Kingston Beach House](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/kingston-beach-house/) - This custom residence is located on a waterfront infill site in Kingston, WA. The building is situated to meet flood, view blockage, and shoreline setback requirements. The exterior features an open-siding rainscreen system, with pre-finished tongue and groove tight knot cedar siding and viroc cement panels. Cantilevered concrete slabs and ipe decking provide ample outdoor living space. A rooftop garden and second floor ipe deck built on an aluminum subframe with a glass railing system add additional space for enjoying shoreline views. A slab floor with built-in radiant heat tops the wood-framed flooring system.
- [Falk Farmhouse](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/falk-farm/) - Fitting into a neighborhood peppered with 100 year old farmhouses was of primary importance to this family. The trick was how to do this when the desire was for a modern architecturally designed home? The dry-stacked rock wall that bisects the house became the anchor point for joining those two objectives.
- [Pleasant Beach Village, Tier 2B Sun Homes](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/pleasant-beach-village-tier-2b-sun-homes/) - Our multifamily development at Pleasant Beach Village on the south end of Bainbridge Island continues to grow! After the completion of our Sundown Homes in September 2020, we got straight to work on the next 4 Sun Homes. These beautiful 2650sf homes designed by local Architect Charlie Wenzlau feature 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths, and a 2 car garage. They enjoy expansive main floor living, and outstanding water views of Rich passage. The first home is scheduled to be complete in Spring 2021.
- [Rose Loop](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/rose-loop/) - The Rose Loop Residence is a new construction, single family home, with approximately 3,000 SF of living space across three levels. The project site sits perched above beautiful Eagle Harbor on a steep hillside. Extensive sitework, including two shored piling retaining walls were required to complete the scope of work. This created both a structural wall for the home as well as a flat landscaped side yard that enjoys amazing views back towards Winslow and the Seattle Ferry Terminal. The architecture is northwest modern by Coates Design with high-end finishes throughout including: elm ceiling panels and casework, blackened steel accents, stone veneers, upscale lighting, polished concrete floors with integral color, large format multi-slide doors, among many other unique design features. The project is currently scheduled to be complete summer 2021.
- [Pleasant Beach Village, Tier 2 Sundown Homes](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/pleasant-beach-village-tier2/) - After wrapping up the construction of the new Garden Inn at Pleasant Beach Village on Bainbridge Island, the Clark team moved its efforts up the hill to the Tier II Townhomes construction site. This multifamily development kicks off with eight 2,800 sf units in 4 duplexes. The homes enjoy expansive main floor living, and walls of windows that bring an abundance of natural light and stunning territorial and water views. These warm Pacific Northwest 3 bedroom homes are truly idyllic. The next phase, the Tier 2B homes are currently under construction.

- [Bainbridge Youth Services Offices](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/bys-ti/) - Clark Construction spent this summer renovating Bainbridge Youth Services new facility, formerly known as The Little Red School House. Located across the parking lot from the Aquatic Center, the new, 2,100-square-foot building allows BYS to expand its free programs for teens ages 12 to 21, offering free counseling, free tutoring and other programs that benefit young people in our community. Most of the furnishings - new tables, chairs and couches - have all been donated. Student focus groups were held during the planning processes to ensure a teen-friendly and positive space.
- [Ferncliff Village Townhomes](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/ferncliff-village-townhomes/) - Clark Construction LLC was the builder of Phase II of Ferncliff illage, consisting of 16 townhomes in 4 separate buildings, added to the existing community. Featuring stunning views and located just a short walk from the ferry terminal and downtown Winslow, the Ferncliff Village Townhomes make the homebuyers’ dreams of affordable Bainbridge Living a reality. The homes were built to Washington Evergreen Standards and were constructed on an extremely tight budget.
- [Madrona Lofts](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/madrona-lofts/) - The Lofts at Madrona create an opportunity for urban living on Bainbridge Island. They consist of 14 townhouses in 2 multifamily buildings. The 3-story energy-efficient urban style lofts feature long wide plank wood floors and blackened steel stairs with heavy fir treads. Top floor living with vaulted great room ceilings and private fully covered decks allow for treetop views. Garden patio’s, garages, and elevator and solar ready these homes are beautifully designed and constructed.
- [Roost 1A](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/roost/) - Roost is a community on the south end of Bainbridge Island comprised of three phases of construction. Phase 1A consists of five small and five large single family detached homes, 900 sf and 2300 sf respectively. The residences were constructed using insulated concrete forms (ICFs). This sustainable building method creates a tight building envelope, meaning lower costs of heating and cooling and greater noise reduction. The completed project includes two more phases: Phase 1B consists of 12 live/work townhomes, and Phase 2 will include a restaurant, retail spaces, and a boutique hotel, all catered to the active Bainbridge Island lifestyle.
- [Berry Farm](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/berry-farm/) - Berry Farm is a new construction, 2,900 sqft custom residence designed by Indigo Architects. Located on Bainbridge Island the home is situated within an old Christmas Tree farm. The home has been designed to fit within the current landscape with minimal impact on the land. It consists of a main house and detached garage, both constructed using innovative Insulated Concrete Forms. Anticipated completion is May 2020.
- [Cone Architects Tenant Improvement](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/cone-architects-tenant-improvement/) - Clark recently completed a 4000 sf tenant improvement in the South Greenlake Seattle neighborhood. This two story space was converted from a restaurant into office space for the growing firm Cone Architecture. All 30+ windows and doors were replaced, and new skylights installed for better light. Triple framework was needed to fix severe decay in the existing building. Complex electrical was installed throughout the new space which allows the new tenants to run a RadioRa smart home system for improved energy efficiency. The new space has room for 15 desk hubs.
- [Buck Mountain](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/buck-mountain/) - Soaring above the bedrock of Buck Mountain on Orcas Island sits a concrete, steel, and glass home resting on two concrete plinths. This 2,500 sq ft home is an engineering feat that required unrivaled construction precision. Clark inherited this project early on from a builder who was stymied on how to make the budget work, given the site’s limitations and obvious building challenges.
- [Wing Point](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/wing-point/) - This 4600 square foot custom residence on Bainbridge Island features an impressive use of concrete, including walls, heated slab floors, and a 35-foot-tall fireplace. The long, narrow street leading up to the home required concrete to be pumped from 400 feet away, sometimes using a line pump and boom pump simultaneously.
- [Manzanita](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/manzanita/) - The remodel of this 1930’s home was a balancing act between honoring the original style of the home and incorporating modern details for comfort and aesthetic. The remodel resulted in a 4,422 sf footprint that includes a master suite addition on the first floor, new hardwood flooring and natural stone tiles throughout the home, and smooth stucco exterior walls and landscape walls. The traditional style was modernized through the addition of steel exterior doors and windows
- [Therapydia Physical Therapy](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/therapydia-physical-therapy/) - This sleek 1500 sf tenant improvement in the heart of the trendy Ballard neighborhood succeeded in taking a new building’s empty shell and transforming it’s blank slate into a fully decked out physical therapy studio, complete with high-tech rubber flooring throughout. Therapydia’s visible ductwork gives the space an open industrial feeling, and large storefront windows let in a loads of natural light. While negotiating with the city council for building permits was no easy feat, the project came out on budget, with happy clients and a beautiful new modern space to boot.
- [Old Hardware Store Renovation](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/old-hardware-store-renovation/) - The remodel of this 100-year-old, 6,600 sq ft facility, located in the heart of Winslow, included structural upgrades of CMU to existing wood connections and tenant improvements. The renovated space houses Bruciato Pizzeria and the new offices of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty.
- [Pleasant Beach Village, Garden Building](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/pleasant-beach-village-garden-building/) - This addition brings 10 new guest rooms in a 2-story, 6,800 sf. building to Pleasant Beach Village on Bainbridge Island. Crafted by Clark Construction to match the old-world charm of the historic Lynwood Center neighborhood, the Garden Building will offer 500 sf. rooms with spacious layouts and luxury appointments. Inn at Pleasant Beach guests can enjoy a seasonal 25-yard outdoor pool, hot tub and a fitness center, along with four restaurants, a pool clubhouse, retail shops and services, and residential living.
- [BIFD Station 23](https://clarkconstruct.com/portfolio/bifd-station-23/) - Clark Construction completed an expansion of the apparatus bay of Bainbridge Island Fire Department Station 23. This addition allowed Station 23 to serve as BIFD’s headquarters during the construction of Station 21.
